On 24 October, the anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Charter, we received an award at the United Nations Day Gala in recognition of the Association’s commitment to climate change mitigation and the promotion of sustainable development for the benefit of future generations.
We are delighted to receive this award as one of our objectives is to be involved in projects that support collective action for sustainable food production. Thanks to a number of activities undertaken by the Association and its members to promote, educate and cooperate in the field of sustainable agriculture and food in Poland, we support the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The gala also featured the premiere of the Yearbook 2023 – a report by the UN Global Compact Network Poland, which presents the latest trends, changing standards and strategies of companies in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and, in particular, good business practices. The Association for Sustainable Food and Agriculture in Poland and the UN Global Compact Network Poland have signed Memorandum of Understanding on joint activities to develop sustainable food production in Poland.
The UN Global Compact Network Poland’s Sustainable Food Production initiative aims to mobilise the private food sector and food distribution to act in a way that combines environmental, social and economic objectives. These are the three pillars of sustainable agriculture, based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Thanks to the joint activities of the parties, it is possible to expand the activities in the field of popularising sustainable agriculture in Poland, as well as to create a broad debate and identify concrete solutions in the field of modern food production.
