Water Management

Rainwater utilisation

Rainwater is a very beneficial source of water for crop irrigation. It is low in mineralisation, soft and has a neutral reaction.

Its use does not cause soil salinisation and by using it, the process of treating irrigation water can be saved.  The most common problem is the storage of rainwater, especially as it is possible to release it into the environment (unsealed reservoirs or watercourses) and the obligations of the Water Law must be met.
