The Association for Sustainable Food and Agriculture in Poland has launched a new version of its e-learning course on sustainable agriculture. The Academy now covers 18 thematic areas with 69 lessons. The course is free of charge and no registration is required.
The Academy of Sustainable Agriculture is a compendium of sustainable agriculture, presenting a range of issues from all areas of a farmer’s work in an accessible format. The course is designed for anyone interested in implementing sustainable farming practices. Each lesson has been developed on the basis of the Sustainable Agriculture Guide, which was created with the participation of leading Polish specialists in many fields of agricultural, climatological, social and economic sciences. The course prepares you for formal certification of your farm’s use of sustainable farming practices.
The new version of the Academy is open to users and does not require registration, and the areas and lessons have been integrated with the corresponding content in the Sustainable Agriculture Guide. This makes the platform even easier to use, and course participants can deepen the knowledge presented in the interactive lessons in the corresponding subsections of the guide. The platform has also been given a new graphic design and a new address: akademiazrownowazenia.pl.
One of the most important objectives of our Association is education. Therefore, for many years we have been developing dedicated knowledge delivery tools to support farmers in learning more about sustainable food production. The new version of the Academy requires no registration or fees and is available to anyone interested in changing their food production model to a more sustainable one. The Academy of Sustainable Agriculture is the only such tool of its kind on the Polish market that comprehensively provides and tests knowledge on sustainability in agricultural production.
– says Małgorzata Bojańczyk, Director of the Association for Sustainable Food and Agriculture in Poland.
The thematic scope of the Academy and the Sustainable Agriculture Guide will be continuously updated in line with changes in available knowledge, technologies and agricultural regulations. The Academy currently includes lessons on community, animal husbandry, sustainable agriculture, soft skills, biodiversity, nutrient management, seeding and planting, soil management, financial sustainability, air and greenhouse gas emissions, health and safety, farm management, agricultural working conditions, market access, water management, legal compliance, plant protection and agrochemicals, and waste management.
The Association for Sustainable Food and Agriculture in Poland is a non-commercial initiative of a group of companies and individuals representing various branches of the food responsibility chain. The Association undertakes a range of activities to promote, educate and cooperate in the field of sustainable agriculture and food in Poland.
